Overview

Established in 2012 from musicians who formed part of the adaptable Ensemble 360, the trio has continued to explore the repertoire for its smaller combination, including its byways as well as its highways, in an ongoing partnership widely successful both on disc and in the concert hall. Woldemar Bargiel (1828-97) was nine years younger than his half-sister, Clara Schumann. He studied at the Leipzig Conservatory and later taught – his pupils including Leopold Godowsky. His first of two piano trios dates from 1851.
