Overview
The young American pianist/composer has been praised for his exceptional virtuosity and range as a performer – something exhibited in a programme which contains four major keyboard classics but which in addition highlights Conrad Tao’s own compositional creativity, alongside works by jazz pianist Fred Hersch (from his 2011 album Alone at the Vanguard) and Jason Eckardt – the latter piece written for tonight’s soloist in 2020.
