Saxophonist Jonathan Radford and pianist Ashley Fripp first began performing together at the Edinburgh Festival in 2018 and have since gone on to perform extensively together across the UK, notably at the Buxton, Brighton and Lake District Festivals and at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. Their debut recording was released in April 2022 on Champs Hill Records to critical acclaim, receiving a 5-star review in the BBC Music Magazine.

'The Saxophone Craze - Homage to Rudy Wiedoeft' celebrates the music of the Roaring Twenties, and pays tribute to 'The Kreisler of the Saxophone’ Rudy Wiedoeft, a hugely virtuosic and prolific musician. Although his impact as a musician in the 1920s and 30s was astronomical, his music is sadly mostly forgotten. It is the duo's hope that this performance will pay homage to a musical icon whilst celebrating the diverse nature of the saxophone across genres.
