Overview

The Gould’s discography includes a complete and well received Beethoven series, The Observer commenting that these ‘established players in this repertoire prove masterly: nimble, agile and intense’. Between two familiar works the ensemble performs a little-known set of Variations on a tune from Dittersdorf’s opera Das rote Käppchen, probably dating from 1792.
