Overview

One of the UK’s finest cellists champions the neglected 18th-century master Luigi Boccherini(1743-1805) in the company of a star-studdedensemble. Boccherini moved from Lucca to Madrid where he composed a good deal of attractive music for solo cello as well as chamber music for strings; all the music heard dates from the period 1770-2.
