Here another musician – a Russian pianist who won the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition in Brussels in 2007 – joins the ensemble for Robert Schumann’s popular quintet. The group also offers a memorial work for a composer for whom Reimann has ‘always had a great fondness’ and which draws on two of the chorales composed in the asylum at Endenich where Robert spent his final years.
