Overview
Shanghai-born pianist Junyan Chen brings compelling interpretations to bold repertoire, and she pairs Sofia Gubaidulina’s brilliantly jazzy Sonata with Liszt’s virtuosic exploration of light and shade. Junyan is a Bicentenary scholar at the Royal Academy of Music; a champion of new music, her many prizes include City of Vigo and Osaka international piano competitions.
