Overview
Recently created by Wigmore Hall’s director John Gilhooly, the ensemble is made up of a select group of musicians whose recordings have won wide praise. Here they are joined for a popular Schubert item by a favourite soprano, who in addition offers an 1837 set of songs by Louis Spohr that also incorporates the clarinet – here played by Michael Collins.
