Overview

The programme comprises the Sonatina for Violin and Piano (1949), dedicated to the composer Boris Tchaikovsky, the Fifth Violin Sonata (1953), sometimes considered the composer’s finest work in the genre, and its successor, the final work in the series (1982), dedicated to the composer’s mother.
