Overview
Nikolai Lugansky returns for an all-Rachmaninov programme, including the set of 22 variations on Chopin’s Prelude in C minor (1902-3), the first set of ‘Study-Pictures’ (1911), and the mighty First Sonata (1906-8), originally inspired by the story of Faust and a work resolutely championed by tonight’s pianist.
