Repertoire for two pianos in this recital by two leading pianists who come together for Saint-Saëns’s 1874 Variations on the trio section of the Menuetto from Beethoven’s Piano Sonata Op. 31 No. 3, Gershwin’s own piano duo version of his symphonic poem, and a transcription of the Tannhäuser overture by a French specialist in such things.
