Born in London in 1972, Tunde Jegede is a composer, producer, cellist and kora player of Nigerian descent who has collaborated with musicians from many different traditions. In his Kora Concerto, he wanted to capture ‘the musical worlds of West Africa … whilst remaining true to the classical tradition … in much the same way as Rodrigo in his Guitar Concerto’.
