Yuzhang Li began her studies at Beijing Central Conservatory before coming to the Royal Academy of Music to complete her postgraduate studies. A busy recitalist in Europe and China as well as a semi-finalist at the 2021 Leeds International Piano Competition and a medallist at the 2022 Hilton Head International Piano Competition, Yuzhang is also an artist of the 2023-24 Tillett Debut Scheme. Her programme presents two pillars of piano repertory: Beethoven’s late, luminous A major sonata, and the complete set of Op. 23 Preludes by Rachmaninov, evoking emotional power and virtuosic drama.
