    Overview

Joint founder of the period-specialist group in 1991 Ashley Solomon and Florilegium have together gone on to experience wide and long-term success, including at Wigmore Hall, where they have enjoyed a period as resident artists – a post they have also fulfilled at the Royal College of Music. Haydn’s programmatic symphonies date from 1761, near the beginning of his long period with the Esterházy court.
