Overview
Founded in 2013 and named after a character in Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, the French ensemble has made a steady rise to eminence through numerous competition successes and a period as BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists. It includes a piece by a French composer born in 1989 that takes inspiration from a Muslim afternoon prayer.
