The two leading musicians resume a partnership that has seen them acclaimed on disc in music by Britten, Shostakovich and Schnittke, as well as Chopin and Alkan: ‘both performances from this outstanding partnership are out of the top drawer, fresh and spontaneous’, said the critic of Gramophone of the latter.
