    Overview

London Handel Players celebrates its 25th anniversary with two Wigmore Hall showcase concerts. The period-instrument ensemble offers thrilling programmes of chamber and theatre works that recall the international nature of music made in Handel’s day and contemporary London’s insatiable appetite for new compositions.

In this first, Telemann’s twin collections of compositions for flute, violin, viola da gamba and continuo, collectively known as the ‘Paris’ quartets, make a virtue of their Italian, French and German influences. London Handel Players interleaves three fine quartets with heavenly Handel arias.
