    Programme

    Overview

Hymns of praise sung from the heart were a natural part of everyday life for Abel Selaocoe, whether at home or in church. The South African cellist, vocalist, composer and improviser returns to Wigmore Hall with a celebration of the divine and the human spirit, including the Morales motet made famous by the Hilliard Ensemble and Jan Garbarek and John Tavener’s Syvati, the Orthodox hymn to the ‘Holy One’.
