Programme

Overview

Elements of light and shade connect the pieces in this lunchtime programme. The Gesualdo Six blends radiant works by Abbess Hildegard and Thomas Tallis with gleaming contemporary gems and Rheinberger’s luscious Abendlied. They are joined by virtuoso trumpeter Matilda Lloyd in Deborah Pritchard’s The Light Thereof, Richard Barnard’s Aura and Geoffrey Burgon’s haunting Nunc dimittis.
