Overview

Three outstanding works, each marked by the highest degree of invention, provide the platform for the Castalian String Quartet’s penetrating artistry. The Castalians, holders of the Hans Keller String Quartet Residency at Oxford University’s Faculty of Music from 2021-24, were hailed by the Observer for fashioning interpretations ‘full of poetry, joy and sorrow, realised to such perfection’.
