Overview

Christmas gems spanning music from six countries and two centuries supply the evergreen substance of Christiane Karg’s seasonal recital. Her programme includes a sequence of heartwarming songs by Engelbert Humperdinck and Peter Cornelius, sparkling rarities by Ravel and Chaminade, and a quartet of seductive villancicos españolas by Cuban composer Joaquín Nin.
