A prize-winner at the 2019 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, the young Russian cellist joins with a Swiss pianist – both of them rising stars of the international music scene. Their programme unites two major sonatas from the French tradition – the Franck a transcription of the original written for violin and piano – linked by a less familiar work dating from 1904 by the Russian-born Swiss late-Romantic Paul Juon (1872-1940).
