Describing him as ‘a complete Beethovenian’ and ‘one of the most serious, questing pianists on the circuit today’, the Daily Telegraph has suggested that Andreas Haefliger’s performances of the composer demonstrate that he belongs ‘to that elite group of interpreters worth hearing in this music.’ In his Perspectives series, the pianist – a favourite artist at Wigmore Hall – has regularly explored the sonatas of Beethoven in conjunction with works by other composers.
