Crudeltà e incostanza
Information
CHANGE OF PROGRAMME AND ARTIST
Due to injury, unfortunately Felix Knecht (cello) is no longer able to perform as part of Le Concert d’Astrée in the above concert. We are grateful to Marco Frezzato (cello) for stepping in as his replacement, and to Maud Giguet (violin) and Eric Bellocq (lute) for also joining the ensemble.

The place of the cello in Baroque repertoire – often used as an obbligato instrument as well as a soloist – provides the theme of a programme that blends the sacred and the profane, with the celebrated mezzo taking the vocal line.
