The Israeli musician Avi Avital has brought renewed prominence to his chosen instrument, the mandolin, whose regular repertoire he has explored assiduously as well as augmenting it with new works and transcriptions. In tandem with the Venetian orchestra he introduces Vivaldi’s seasonal concertos to the solo mandolin repertoire.
