Musical alchemy and the sheer quality of the Doric String Quartet’s players belong to the special mix that has set the British ensemble in company with the world’s finest.

They return to Wigmore Hall to perform two cornerstone chamber compositions, pairing Haydn’s pioneering String Quartet in E flat Op. 20 No. 1 with Dvorák’s thirteenth string quartet, arguably his finest essay in the genre.
