Its players having met as members of the Dutch street symphony orchestra the Ricciotti Ensemble, the quartet takes its name from that of a 20th-century Dutch architect. Winner of the 2018 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award, as well as competitions in Bordeaux and Weimar, the group has released several acclaimed recordings – including the complete quartets of Brahms and Ligeti plus Haydn’s Six Quartets Op. 20.
