Winners of the Ensemble Award in the 2021 Royal Philharmonic Society Awards at Wigmore Hall last November, the Scottish Baroque specialist group brings music by Handel and his older Italian colleague Alessandro Scarlatti (1660-1725), whose many operas and cantatas are slowly emerging from many decades of neglect; this substantial example sets an Arcadian text.
