Likely the only appearance at Wigmore Hall of the soprano Elizabeth Patterson, who gave a programme dedicated for the most part to light songs in English and Italian, although the recital opened with an aria by Bach (with cello obbligato) and the Countess's pleading Porgi, amor, qualche ristoro from Le nozze di Figaro.

Cello pieces were played by Percy Such, also making his Wigmore Hall debut in this afternoon recital, the first of numerous appearances here as a soloist or more often as part of a chamber ensemble or string quartet.
