  • Escher String Quartet

Erich Wolfgang Korngold and Hitchcock’s regular collaborator Bernard Herrmann both remain best known for their film scores. The slow movement from the former's third quartet is borrowed from his score for The Sea Wolf, while the latter made his own concert suite from Psycho, notable for its piercing strings.
