The leading Hungarian violinist was the First Prize winner of the Paganini and the Jacques Thibaud International Violin Competitions before settling in the UK in 1961. Since his London debut at Wigmore Hall in 1962, he has travelled the world to perform with renowned orchestras and conductors, boasting a wide, rich repertoire and several award-winning recordings to his name. Now retired from performing, he gives masterclasses at music academies and festivals internationally. Today, György will be working with violin-piano duos and piano trios from London’s music colleges.
