Following her silver medal at the 2000 International Chopin Competition in Warsaw, the Argentine pianist established herself as an artist of the front rank, her stature consolidated when she became the first woman to receive a Gilmore Artist Award in 2006; from 2007-9 she was also a BBC New Generation Artist. Of her recording of the Schumann and Mendelssohn first concertos, the Daily Telegraph wrote, ‘Fliter is in her element. Hers is a reading of firm, exhilarating impulse.’
