Inon Barnatan piano

Variations on a Suite

Archived

  • Inon Barnatan piano

Inon Barnatan’s formidable musicianship is matched by his intellectual curiosity and determination to demolish conventional boundaries between works from different periods.

The pianist’s programme explores multiple approaches to the idea of variations in music, opening with Handel’s Chaconne, built around an eight-bar theme, and including the UK première of Thomas Adès graceful Blanca Variations, written for the 2015 Clara Haskil International Piano Competition.
