- Inon Barnatan piano
The American-Israeli pianist brings together two giants of the Baroque with a 20th-century Russian master whose final major work (1940) is heard in his own new transcription: for this Inon Barnatan has drawn on Rachmaninov’s own version for two pianos, plus a recording where the composer/pianist plays it himself. The movements from the Bach violin partita are heard in Rachmaninov’s 1934 transcription.
