- Isabelle Faust violin
- Antoine Tamestit viola
Two great instrumentalists come together for a programme of duo works for their unusual combination. The prolific French master of the viol Jean de Sainte-Colombe (c.1640-1700) is perhaps best known as the teacher of Marin Marais, and thereby features in Alain Corneau’s celebrated film about that composer, Tous les matins du monde: extant among his large output are 67 Concerts à deux violes esgales.
