Polish countertenor Jakub Józef Orlinski, praised for his tonal beauty, captured international attention as winner of the 2016 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.

In this special concert to mark 100 years since Poland regained independence following World War I, Orlinski underlines his rising-star status with a recital of personal favourite songs and arias, including Pawel Lukaszewski’s beautiful setting of Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska’s poetry.
