In 2017, Jamal made his debut at the BBC Proms and won the Arts Club – Sir Karl Jenkins Music Award. Highlights over the last year include appearances as soloist with the Philharmonia Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall, and with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela. Jamal performs with Can Çakmur, a Turkish pianist who was the First Prize winner of the 10th Hamamatsu International Piano Competition in 2018.
