  • James Ehnes violin

Bach, according to one of his sons, ‘played the violin with a pure and penetrating tone [and] perfectly understood all the possibilities of the violin family’.

The composer set the highest technical hurdles for performers of his solo sonatas and partitas. James Ehnes is sure to apply the grace and ease of his artistry to the polyphonic textures and exacting demands of Bach’s violin masterworks.
