- Julian Prégardien tenor
- Eric Le Sage piano
Two exceptional artists – the French pianist especially admired for his interpretations of Schumann and Fauré – unite for a programme devoted to major cycles by both composers. The former’s Heine cycle precedes the latter’s Verlaine settings of 1892-4, dedicated to Emma Bardac, with whom Fauré was in love at the time of composition.
Robert Schumann (1810-1856)
- Liederkreis Op. 24
Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924)
- Nocturne No. 6 in D flat Op. 63
- La bonne chanson Op. 61
