A Wigmore favourite since she won the Cardiff Competition in 1995, the Swedish mezzo includes songs by female composers, among them Clara Schumann (whose 200th anniversary falls this year) and Alma Mahler, wife of Gustav who was not altogether encouraging of her desire to compose.
