Giving their second concert in the Autumn season of 1901, Kelley Cole and David Baxter returned with a recital of art song, Lieder, operatic arias and folk music which echoed their earlier appearance in October. Both concerts featured premières of songs by the German composer Hans Hermann, as well as a set of Scottish folk songs and a closing duet – in this case Rubinstein's Wanderers Nachtlied

They were joined by the violinist Edie Reynolds, formerly a student at the Royal Academy of Music, who had already had a few years of successful appearances on the London concert circuit. She had a particular fondness for the works of Wieniawski, from whose Violin Concerto No. 2 in D minor Op. 22 she played two movements in this evening concert.
