Achieving ‘sumptuous breadth and beguiling warmth’ as well as ‘revelatory playing’ (The Observer), the ensemble was formed in 2012 by members of Ensemble 360. On disc they have released rarities by Parry, Pixis, Lalo, Litolff, Arensky, Rimsky-Korsakov and Taneyev, but here they offer two celebrated works from the Romantic period.
