A characteristically personal programme from the thoughtful Canadian virtuoso includes the attractive suite (1920) by the Italian Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco (1895-1968), as well as Alexis Weissenberg’s transcriptions of songs by the inimitable Charles Trenet, originally issued on disc as by ‘Mr Nobody’!
