Three highly individual musicians come together for a programme largely consisting of arrangements (often their own) of chamber works or songs that they have adapted for their particular instrumental combination, one that is heard in music designed specifically for it in Mozart’s 1786 trio – a work that has become known as the ‘Skittle Alley’ Trio after a favourite pastime of the composer’s at that period.
