Currently BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists, the French ensemble Quatuor Arod rose swiftly to prominence following its 2013 foundation. Its all- Mozart programme begins with the exciting Divertimento K136, written to be played by either string orchestra or quartet. Later leading violist Timothy Ridout joins the group for the composer’s emotionally-charged quintet.
