Barry is represented by works dating from 1985 and 2001 – the more recent of them testifying to his love of marches. Miller’s Warblework (2011) is founded on the songs of various type of thrush. The title of Inuk throat singer, composer, author and activist Tanya Tagaq’s 2015 work means The Future Ones. In her piece, she aims to address our ‘disconnect from nature … which has caused a great deal of societal anxiety and fear.’
