Three contrasting major works from an ensemble that has recently celebrated its 20th anniversary with a complete Beethoven series warmly welcomed wherever it was played. A group that has regularly overstepped the boundaries of the traditional quartet medium into the realms of jazz and popular music here offers works of different periods and styles that are nevertheless all deservedly classics of the literature.
