The Russian tenor was a finalist for the Song Prize at the 2019 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition the year following his prize in the José Carreras Grand Prix held in Moscow. On stage he sings a wide repertoire; earlier this year he made his debut with Opera North as the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto. Here he includes Poulenc’s settings of the Greek-born, French poet Jean Moréas written in 1927-8.
