Due to personal reasons, Ana Török and Zsolt Török from the Arcadia Quartet are no longer able to perform in this concert. We are very grateful to Remus Azoitei (violin) and Filip Papa (cello) of the Ad libitum Quartet for replacing them.
This concert will be approximately 1 hour in duration, without an interval

Revered by every musician with whom he came into contact, the Romanian George Enescu produced his String Octet in 1900, when he was just 19. As with Mendelssohn’s more famous work, an early composition turned out to be a major masterpiece.
