Confirmation and Slight Change of Programme
The programme for this concert has been amended from previously advertised and will now be as listed below:

  • Sabine Devieilhe soprano
  • Alexandre Tharaud piano

An exceptional interpreter of French song collaborates with a master pianist for a programme concentrating on the mélodie, and especially those of contemporaries Debussy and Ravel, as well as their successors Poulenc and the lesser known Louis Beydts. Their recording of this repertoire drew high praise from BBC Music Magazine: Sabine Devieilhe’s ‘iridescent clarity is to the fore throughout [...] matched by Alexandre Tharaud’s ever-nuanced, passionately intelligent pianism’.
